Welcome to

Rosewood Homeowners Cooperative

A resident-owned community

Welcome Home!

Rosewood is a resident-owned manufactured home community in Winston, Ore. Rosewood is conveniently located less than two miles from downtown Winston and Oregon’s only drive-through animal park, Wildlife Safari.

Our ideal setting allows for a quick 1.5-hour drive to the Oregon coast and the city of Roseburg is a short 15-minute ride from Winston. We are a friendly neighborhood for people who love outdoor activities and living in a small mountain town.

Rosewood is an ideal spot for outdoor lovers with Civic Wayside Park and Winston Community Park. Riverbend Park and Skate Park is another popular outdoor attraction in our beautiful community. Known for mild year-round temperatures, beautiful green spaces for hiking and picnicking, these three parks are easy to get to from Rosewood. Rosewood is owned by the Community Members who live here – we are a resident-owned community (ROC).

That means

we control the rent & make the rules

We own it

The Member homeowners of Rosewood control the rent and make the rules. On March 2, 2020, the ROC purchased the land and infrastructure, such as the roads and water lines. Now, a democratically elected Board of Directors manages the business of running Rosewood Homeowners Cooperative. Every Member household in the community has a say in who sits on the Board, how we spend our money, the annual budget, and whether we make changes to the rent. We’re also part of a national network of more than 250 ROCs just like us. That membership provides us with access to expert coaching on how to run our ROC, leadership development and training, communication with dozens of community leaders who face many of the same issues we do, and more. Life in Rosewood is truly different than in a commercially owned community – we invite you to find out firsthand how that difference makes living here so much better.
